If you find yourself in a funk – mental, physical or spiritual – it is your own best interests to get out of it as fast as you can! Nothing good will come out of it or get done while you wallow in self pity and a woe-is-me attitude.
But what do you to get your mind right and start kicking ass again? MOVE!
Physically move your body in one way or another and get your blood flowing. Get outside. Change your environment that you are in and break the routine.
You have to create momentum or you will not get out your funk. You create that momentum by moving. Action not theory or words.
Shift Move – Get Unstuck and Get Going in Under a Minute
Here is a quick method that you can use to get unstuck or get going. It’s called the Shift Move.
Now I’ll warn you. It’s not something that you’ve probably done before. In fact, it is likely that you have not seen anyone does this before especially in public.
But I guarantee that doing this Shift Move will get you going or get your meeting livened up immediately.
So when you feel yourself stuck in a rut, feeling low, not caring about what you hearing or doing, not engaged in the activity that you are participating in you have to change your energy.
You need to raise your vibration level in your body. That in turn will raise the vibration level in those around you.
Or they will think you are completely fucking nuts. But who cares what they think. IT’S YOUR LIFE! DO IT!
Here is what you do:
- Stand up from your chair, desk, whatever.
- Take 5 really deep,aggressive breaths. In through your nose, out of your mouth. Like an animal.
- SCREAM at the top of your lungs the emotion that you are feeling (Anger, Fear, Joy, Happy, etc.).
- Do 10 reps of a quick exercise movement – Jumping Jacks, Air Squats, Burpees
That’s it. Done. I guarantee that you will feel better instantly. You’ll feel charged up inside.
Then take that momentum and energy and complete one task that you have in front of you. Then another. And another. Now you have momentum.
Remember, no one creates a funk in your life except you. You have all the power and control over how you feel. Take control. Get out of your funk. Make a move. Do it NOW!
